Behaviour

At Harrington Junior School we believe in all pupils showing good standards of behaviour, a positive attitude in school and good manners. Respect to all - whether to other pupils or adults in school- is expected at all times.

We expect children to behave in a manner that allows lessons to flow, teachers to teach and children to learn. We reinforce this by identifying good examples and rewarding good behaviour and positive attitudes for learning.

We aim high and are proud of our pupils and their behaviour, receiving many positive comments when out in the community or attending trips.

The few pupils who may at some point struggle with behaviour are supported; pupils who do not correct their behaviours quickly will move to the second or third stages of our behaviour management system. This will involve parents attending meeting so that school and home can work together for a positive outcome.
