Pupil Premium

The information below which gives details of our Pupil Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

The Pupil Premium is allocated to schools for children of statutory school age from low-income families who are known to be eligible for free school meals (FSM), to children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months and to children whose parents are currently serving in the armed forces.

This now includes pupils eligible for FSM at any point in the last six years (known as the Ever 6 FSM measure).

The school receives the following funding for each pupil:

- Children who are eligible for pupil premium  £1,345

- Looked after children and those who are adopted  £2,345

- Children with parents in the armed forces  £310

- Children under special guardianship  £2,300

How many pupils are eligible for Pupil Premium?

Currently, 78 pupils (33%) are eligible for pupil premium. Our allocation is £104,115.

Schools are free to spend the Pupil Premium as they see fit. However we are accountable for how we have used the additional funding to support pupils from low-income families.

We are now required to publish online information about how we have used the funding. This will ensure that parents and others are made fully aware of the attainment of pupils covered by the Premium and the extra support that they receive.
