  • The final piece of the jigsaw

    Thu 30 Jul 2020 RWilmot

It has been a fascinating two days watching the new building arrive and be lifted into place. It's hard to believe that 48 hours ago we had nothing.

With the final section in place, we are now at the stage of connecting it up to the services. This will take 2-3 weeks due to the level of work for reinstatement after the damage created from the fire.

As more news becomes available, I will keep you up-to-dated.

  • Almost there

From late morning we have been waiting for the final sections to arrive to be hoisted into place. This process has gone amazingly smoothly due to the hard work, care and skill that the building team have shown. The temporary building is nearly complete - just one more section to go!

    Wed 29 Jul 2020 RWilmot

Carefully they are unloaded and craned into position.

The temporary school will be located on the playground, with additional space being accessed for play.

  • A new start

    Wed 29 Jul 2020 RWilmot

Finally we can release the news about our temporary school. The building has been signed off and the foundation has been laid at the end of last week. After some work regarding the  access for services such as water, we are due to take arrival of the building today.

The day has begun early with the building crew on site and the crane arriving at 7:30. This will lift the sections of the school into place.

I will be taking photographs throughout the day so you can see the progress.

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO COME ONTO CAMPUS AS THE DRIVE NEEDS TO BE ACCESSIBLE AT ALL TIMES AND THE SITE IS NOW A BUILDING SITE AND THEREFORE UNSAFE FOR UNAUTHORISED PEOPLE.

    Your co-operation is appreciated.
