  • Important update from school

    Mon 21 Mar 2022 RWilmot

I need to inform you that we have lots of sickness and diarrhea in school.
Symptoms begin with complaints of feeling sick, temperature and tummy aches. Although the outbreak can be severe, it should be over for the child in 48 hours from the start of the illness. If it lasts any longer, you should contact your GP for advice.
Pupils then need to wait another 48hours after the last motion of sickness or diarrhea before returning to school to prevent this spreading. Please ensure good handwashing at home.
We are taking additional measures at school to prevent this illness from spreading including extra cleaning.

We also have a rising number of cases of COVID in school. Please watch out for child symptoms - cough, temperature, fatigue and headaches. If your child has symptoms, please keep them at home and/or complete a lateral flow. If they have symptoms you can still request a PCR test. We ask that positive cases are kept at home for a week or until the child has 2 negative tests.

This increase in both infections is rising within our local community. Please be cautious and keep as safe and healthy as you can.
    Your co-operation is appreciated.

  • A busy curriculum!

    Wed 16 Mar 2022 RWilmot

What a busy few weeks we have had! Children have been having a great time with their learning through World Book Day, an online lesson with Michal Rosen and Maths Morning!

Well done to everyone for joining in so well and for their high levels of participation and engagement. Please take a few moments to check out the posts on the dojo or see some of the photographs in the 'gallery' section of the website, located under the Children tab.

  • Red Nose Day

    Wed 16 Mar 2022 RWilmot

Don't forget this Friday (18th March) is Red Nose Day. Pupils will be taking part in a sponsored times table quiz and an exercise slot. Please bring any sponsor money into school as soon as you can. We are hoping to raise £2 per child, giving us a total of £500!

    Thank you for your support.

  • SIckness in school

    Wed 16 Mar 2022 RWilmot

Please be aware we seem to have a large number of pupils who are experiencing a sickness bug. This seems to be a consistent pattern between local schools. Children should remain at home until they have 48 hours clear of any sickness to prevent this being spread further.
Please note: sickness could also be a potential sign of COVID in children. Our current procedure is for pupils who test positive or have COVID symptoms to remain off school for a week, or until 2 negative lateral flows are achieved. This is in line with Parklands and Wilsthorpe schools.

As COVID cases in all schools is rising, your cooperation is appreciated.
