Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
For 25 years, I have had the pleasure of standing at the helm of our wonderful school and it has been a privilege and joy to see so many pupils and staff grow. I have also had the hardship of leading us through some very difficult and challenging times – an armed siege, COVID, the loss of our beloved school through fire, the complications arising from building a new school from scratch. That said, I have been able to reflect each year to say that I have enjoyed every single year and have been proud of all we have managed to achieve.
However, after an awful lot of consideration and turmoil, I have made the decision to step away from the Headteacher role at Harrington Junior School from September. This has not a been a decision I have taken lightly, but I feel that it is the right time for me, personally and professionally.
I will continue to work with governors and the Local Authority to ensure a suitable new Headteacher is recruited and will support this person to settle into our amazing school in the first few weeks of September.
I personally wanted to share this news with you, before it becomes common knowledge.
Thank you for making my career at Harrington truly memorable.
A big welcome to our new families to the TLC 2026 dojo group! βΊοΈ
Myself and Miss Barham are really excited for our first session of Term 5, with lots of new children to introduce to TLC π₯°
Just a reminder that TLC is held in the library so the children will exit from that door and will need to be picked up on the small playground. The club runs from 3:30pm - 4:30pm.
After tonight’s session, I will be adding some pictures to show you all what we’ve been up to tonight in celebrating Earth Day ππ±π
I’m happy to reveal that this Friday (24th April) Harrington Junior School is once again taking part in Football Shirt Friday! This is a great cause to raise awareness for bowel cancer and is set up as part of the Bobby Moore Foundation.
We would like to extend this out to not just Football shirts. Last year we had a wide range of Rugby, Hockey, Basketball and many other sporty kits!
Myself and the rest of the staff have been looking at some other sporty activities we can do during the day. So even if you’re not wearing your sports kits, trainers and even your PE kit is recommended.
Thank you in advance for helping raise awareness for this fantastic charity and event. β½οΈ
The class dojo links to the teachers are now closed for the holidays. For any urgent issues, please dojo Mrs Wilmot directly for support or to provide updates.
We return on Monday 13th April when the class dojo will re-open at 8:00 a.m.
We hope you all have a restful break and enjoy your holiday.
The governors are pleased to announce that we will be developing the school grounds to make outdoor learning more accessible and exciting for all pupils.
During this term, you will notice fencing around the grounds as we extend and improve our trim trail area, with new play equipment being installed.
We will then fence a second area close to the Year 4 block as we replace the old external stage with a new Amphitheatre.
We are hoping this will allow for more external lessons and activities in the Spring and Summer months.
Full access to the playground and Year 4 block will be maintained and each project will take approximately a week each to complete.
To comply with health and safety, no unauthorised person (parent or child) is permitted to climb or be behind the fencing as this will be classed as a building site or a secure skip refuse site. The necessary health and safety protocols will apply and Mr Badwal and I will be completing daily checks to ensure health and safety standards are being followed. Please ensure all children are supervised in these areas. Your co-operation is appreciated.
I am sure we are looking forward to seeing the end results soon.

TTRS Rockstar Day - After a phenomenal day last year, Harrington is happy to announce that we are taking part in NSPCC Rocks again this year on Friday 6th February.
To make the day even more exciting, children are invited to dress up as their favourite music stars or character! We kindly ask that costumes are age appropriate, ensuring children feel comfortable and ready to learn throughout the day. Children are also welcome to wear wigs and use coloured hairspray to complete their look. Please do not bring in real instruments.
More information will go out on a letter on Monday.
We have now set up a dojo group for White Hall. All pupils contained in this group have secured a place at White Hall.

Mr Badwal will be sending details to you.
