  • STEAM Competition

    Tue 18 Nov 2025 RWilmot

☃️ Calling all snowman engineers … 🎶 do you wanna build a snowman? 🎶 ☃️

Their piece of work must include skills from some or all of the 5 STEAM subjects - Science, Maths, Engineering, Art and Maths! 🧐

The deadline for this competition is Monday the 8th of December. Judging will commence during that week, with prizes for the winners and runners up from each year group announced the following week

  • A busy final week

    Thu 23 Oct 2025 RWilmot

Here at Harrington, it's been 'all go' over the last few weeks with many opportunities to include everyone.

We have hosted an Egyptian tomb discovery day for Year 4 and Miss Bethell has led us to focus on positive mental health as part of our whole school work arising from assemblies. We also met many of our families to continue a positive partnership through parent evening consultations.

Last week we were inspired by Black History Month, with some of our pupils leading an amazing assembly and on to learn about Pablo Fanque and Windrush.

This week has been our whole school writing challenge, entitled 'The Quest'. All classes are working with the same short animated clip to inspire their writing and we will use the end results to identify the strengths and targets for next steps.

Year 5 experienced an enrichment day for their Greek topic on Monday; we welcomed an Indian dancing workshop to celebrate Diwali on Wednesday and today we have our Harvest festival!

I think we can all looking forward to a well deserved half term!
