Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We are delighted to announce that we have been judged to be a 'good' school following the Ofsted visit of October 2022.
You can find a copy of the report under the 'Key Information' tab and scrolling down to the Ofsted section.
A new school meal menu is about to be posted for meals from Term 2 (November) to Easter (April).
Do have a good look to make sure you child likes what is on offer each day. There are lots of new meals to try - all yummy and all nutritious. Why not give them a try?

A big thank you to all who contributed to our recent find raising for Macmillan and Young Minds charities. We managed to raise £200 which will be evenly split between the two charities. Many thanks to Mrs Willsher and her fantastic volunteers for selling cakes and to everyone who donated.
What a spectacular sight to see this morning! Many of the Year 4 pupils dressed as Egyptians for their special enrichment day. They have been very busy exploring tombs, making canopic jars, writing tomb diaries and working out Egyptian numbers and messages. What an experience - fun as well as learning. Well done to all involved.
Tonight is parent evening for those who have an appointment. Please use either the gate from Canal Street and enter the school via the side doors off the small playground - the hall is straight in front and here you will find your child's books to look through. Or come up the drive, onto the playground and enter directly into the hall through the glass doors. The teachers will collect you for your appointment.
Don't forget to fill in the questionnaire and leave a note for your child.
We look forward to meeting up with you later today.
If you originally had an appointment for yesterday's Tuesday parents evening, we will be re-hosting these meetings next Tuesday (18th October) with the same times.
Good morning everyone. Welcome back to the Harrington website!
We are now in our countdown to returning, with just 2 weeks to go and we couldn't have a more busy time here on site.
On Monday, staff were able to come to see the new school as it nears completion, only few more jobs and snags to sort. It's really exciting and we are so looking forward to showing it to you. The temporary school is being taken away and the grounds are beginning to take shape.
I am posting a 'Useful Information for Parents' as a reminder for existing parents and to help the new parents. You will find this in the newsletter section under the 'News and Events' tab. We return on Monday 5th September - Years 4,5 and 6 need to be on site for 8:55 a.m. with Year 3 arriving at 9:15 a.m. (no earlier please)
Please adhere to these times as we will still be having landscaping and playground work being carried out so access onto site will need to be controlled.
Please use the gate either from Canal Street or via the school drive. Staff will be there to assist and direct you. Year 4,5 and 6 pupils will leave parents at the gates. Year 3 parents will be allowed to enter once the other children have exited the playground at 9:15 a.m.
We look forward to seeing you all again soon.
Well done to all the pupils who completed their online multiplication tables check this week. It was great to work with them all and they all tried very hard. I am very proud of you all - well done!
As you will be aware, the new school building work is coming along and we are now at the point where most of the external work is nearing completion and work will commence to start to prepare the internal features of the school. (Do have a look at the photographs posted elsewhere on the school website). The electricity connection is happening this holiday and work for our new fencing has begun.
We aim to be in our new school for September - and, to enable this to happen, there will need to be a major move from our temporary school into the new building. This will then allow for the temporary school to be removed, giving time to finish the external work planned during the summer holiday.
I can now announce that this will be done over a series of days. We will close for the summer holiday slightly earlier, with our last day of term being Tuesday 19th July. We aim to open to pupils on Monday 5th September.
This is a really exciting time and we thank you for your ongoing patience, support and co-operation.
Good afternoon - I hope you have all been enjoying the good weather and have had a decent break. We are looking forward to everyone returning to school tomorrow.
We have had some major service work completed for the new school over the holiday and we still have the playground surface to be re-tarmaced later next week. Entry to school will be the same with gates opening at 8:45a.m. There are some new positions on the playground for classes to line up and pupils will be supported to the correct locations. Please ensure all pupils are in class for 9:00a.m. prompt.
However, we will need to stagger collection at home time as the playground space is considerably reduced. Therefore we will need to allow one year group out at a time (similar to how we did during COVID restrictions).
To assist in this FOR WEEK ONE, Y3 classes will leave promptly at 3:10p.m, Year 4 classes will leave at 3:15p.m, Year 5 and 6 classes will leave at 3:20p.m.
PLEASE ONLY ENTER THE PLAYGROUND AT THE CORRECT TIME - STAFF WILL BE AVAILABLE TO ASSIST IN THIS MATTER, ANNOUNCING CLASSES THAT ARE EXITING.
Both gates will be open - the one from the drive and the rear gate from Briargate - but also please adhere to the correct collection times for the next week. The access gates will be manned.
Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
